RLJD’s Upendra Kushwaha gets Z-category security after IB’s threat report

By Jitendra Singh: Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal (RLJD) president Upendra Kushwaha has been accorded Z-category security by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in view of the threat report by the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

The Home Ministry beefed up Kushwaha’s security based on the threat report of the IB. CRPF commandos will provide Z-category security to the RLJD chief. He will receive security in Bihar and Delhi.

A total of 33 security guards will be deployed for his Z-category security. Armed force security will be provided to VIPs. As many as 10 armed static guards will be present at the VIP’s house, six round-the-clock PSOs, 12 armed escort commandos in three shifts, two watchers in one shift, and three trend drivers will be present round the clock.

After separating from Janata Dal (United), there are many political speculations regarding Upendra Kushwaha. Recently, he met Home Minister Amit Shah.

Kushwaha was given Y+ category security by the Central government in March. He parted ways with Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and formed his new party, RLJD, in February.

Kushwaha was praised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for his “courage” after he resigned from JD(U).

Earlier, the MHA had provided Z-category security to Bihar leader Chirag Paswan and Y+ category security to Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) leader Mukesh Sahni.
