By India Today News Desk: AAP candidate Sushil Rinku’s victory in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha bypoll on Saturday has given the party’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha another reason to rejoice on his engagement day.
Chadha, who is getting engaged to Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra on Saturday, took to his official Twitter handle, saying that on his “special” and “memorable” day, he has another reason to be happy.
“My naanka Jalandhar has made this day even more special and memorable for me,” Raghav Chadha said in a tweet.
Prior to their engagement, Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra were spotted on multiple occassions, sparking dating rumours. When asked about it, he had said, “Ask to me about Rajneeti (politics), not Parineeti,”

AAP candidate Sushil Rinku won the Jalandhar Lok Sabha bypoll, defeating his nearest rival and Congress nominee Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary. Supporters of the Aam Aadmi Party were already in a celebratory mood in Jalandhar as they were confident of their candidate’s victory.
The bypoll, voting for which was held on May 10, was necessitated following the death of Karamjit Kaur’s husband and Congress MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary in January.
RAGHAV-PARINEETI ENGAGEMENT
Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s engagement ceremony is set to take place in Delhi on Saturday. The venue for the private ceremony has been decided as the Kapurthala House in New Delhi. As per sources, the event could be Bollywood-theme based and celebs from the Indian film fraternity would be attending the ceremony.
Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s engagement ceremony will have just 150 people, including close friends and family members, attending it.
