NIA raids several locations in J&K in terror conspiracy case

By Jitendra Bahadur Singh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is carrying out raids at several locations across Jammu and Kashmir.

The raids pertain to the criminal conspiracy hatched by the terror groups operating under various pseudo-names, at the behest of their Pakistani commanders and handlers.

The operation is being carried out in districts including Srinagar, Anantnag, Kupwara, Poonch, Rajouri and Kishtwar.

The NIA’s raids come days after five Army jawans lost their lives in a gunfight with terrorists in Rajouri district on May 5.

Earlier on April 20, five Army soldiers were killed in a terror attack in Poonch district. Defence officials said that terrorists fired at the Army vehicle while it was moving from Bhimber Gali to Sangiot in the Poonch district.

PAKISTAN’S BATS SPOTTED IN POK

Border Action Teams (BATs) — which include commandos from the Pakistan Army and terrorists infamous for beheading security personnel — have been sighted in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK), sources told India Today.

Terrorist movement was reported from Lanjote, Nikail, Kotli and Khuiratta in POK around Rajouri and Poonch sectors, sources said.

The terrorists involved in the BAT operations are trained like soldiers and commandos from the Pakistan Army in the group. They were being trained to attack the LoC.

The BATs are prepared by the Special Service Group (SSG). The teams attack from behind by hiding with meticulous planning.
