BJP chief Nadda watches The Kerala Story with students, says ‘film exposes new type of terrorism’

By India Today News Desk: The Kerala Story exposes ‘new type of terrorism’ that does not use ammunition, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief JP Nadda said after watching the movie with young girls in Bengaluru. JP Nadda and south Bengaluru MP Tejasvi Surya watched The Kerala Story with young girl students at INOX, Bengaluru after the BJP unit in Karnataka arranged a special screening for the movie amid backlash.

“There’s a new type of terrorism which is without ammunition, The Kerala Story exposes that poisonous terrorism. We have heard of terrorism that involves guns, weapons, ammunition. But this is a dangerous kind of terrorism. This kind of terrorism isn’t related to any state or religion,” he said.

“The movie shows how youths are being influenced and made to follow wrong paths. This film successfully exposes such poisonous terrorism and the conspiracy behind it,” the BJP chief added.

He also referred to a recent Kerala High Court order refusing to stay the release of The Kerala Story, adding that a court made a ‘serious observation’.

“Our youngsters who are misguided, and reach a point of no returnâ€æthe movie is an eye-opener for them, and for the society and large. All of use should watch it,” he further said.

A controversy erupted after the trailer of ‘The Kerala Story’ was out and it claimed that 32,000 girls from the state went missing and later joined the terrorist group, ISIS. However, the Kerala high court refused to stay the release of the multi-lingual film ‘The Kerala Story’ and said the trailer does not contain anything offensive to any particular community as a whole.

WHAT PM MODI SAID ON THE KERALA STORY?

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned ‘The Kerala Story’ while addressing a rally in Karnataka’s Bellary ahead of the May 10 election in that state, where the BJP is seeking re-election.

“There is a lot of discussion about The Kerala Story, which discusses ploys to make the country hollow from within. They say The Kerala Story is based on the terrorist plots in just one state. Such a beautiful state, where people are hardworking and talented, The Kerala Story exposes terror conspiracies (there). But look at the misfortune of the country. The Congress today is standing with such terror elements that have destroyed the nation,” PM said.
