By Pramod Madhav: Four people were killed and 26 others were injured after a government bus carrying passengers collided with a tanker truck in Tamil Nadu on Thursday. The bus was plying towards Chennai.
While crossing Patharakudi, the bus driver lost control, trying to avoid hitting a two-wheeler and collided with a tanker truck parked on the roadside. Four passengers died in the accident. 26 passengers of the 44 were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Chidambaram, Padmanabhan, Arulraj and Balamurugan.
11 passengers who were injured were moved to Chidambaram hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, Mayiladuthurai Police have initiated an investigation.
