By India Today News Desk: Police arrested a man who allegedly drank alcohol while sitting on the chair of the police station in-charge in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur. The in-charge of the police station has been suspended in connection with the incident.
The incident took place at Khata Kheri police station in Saharanpur. A photo of the man, identified as Imran, went viral on social media, in which he was seen pouring a glass of alcohol while sitting on the chair of the police station in-charge, Sachin Tyagi.
In the photo, packets of ‘chakna’ and water bottles were kept on the table.
The incident is believed to have taken place during Holi in March, when the photo was taken.
As soon as the photo came to the notice of the police, SSP Vipin Tada immediately suspended Sachin Tyagi.
Police also arrested the accused few days ago and sent him to jail.
