Thousands of farmers will arrive in Jantar Mantar on May 7 in a show of solidarity with wrestlers protesting against Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Singh, accused of sexual harassment.
The announcement came a day ahead of the Maha Panchayat called by Khap organisations at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to support the wrestlers.
Several senior leaders of Samyukta Kisan Morcha from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Western Uttar Pradesh, along with hundreds of farmers, will visit the protest site at Jantar Mantar to extend their support to the wrestlers. The farmers are likely to lead a delegation to the Delhi Police Commissioner, Union sports minister, and Union home minister, demanding Brij Bhushan Singh’s arrest.
